We invite our congregation members to make special contributions to day camp, where kids from our congregation will join with others from about 10 other churches for a faith-filled, fun and engaging experience of building beloved community from June 27 – June 30.
Here is how you can contribute:
- We are welcoming nationally-renowned artists Dave Scherer (Agape) and Joe Davis to do hip hop and spoken word poetry with our kids. We welcome generous financial contributions to help us afford these amazing artists. Any money we receive beyond the amount we need will go to the day camp general fund. If you are able to contribute, you can send a check to First Congregational UCC, 500 SE 8th Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55414, with day camp – artists in the memo line.
We also welcome some material contributions:
- Cardboard boxes – big ones for building neighborhoods!
- Cardboard tubes (toilet paper or paper towel)
- Adult T-Shirts (for making superhero capes!)
If you are able to contribute these items, you may bring them to church during office hours or on Sunday, or drop them off at our day camp location, Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4120 17th Ave, between 9-3 M-Th.
