Congratulations to our Choir & Handbell Director, Adam Conrad, for receiving a $10,000 Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This grant program supports and assists artists at various stages in their careers. It encourages artistic development, nurtures artistic creativity, and recognizes the contributions individual artists make to the creative environment of the state of Minnesota.
Adam will be using the award to to write an electric bassoon concerto for Trent Jacobs with the Vintage Orchestra. This is a monumental opportunity for his composition career. We will have the opportunity at a future date to hear the concerto presented at FCC.
