Arlene’s women’s pool party is August 23rd,
There, the water attracts a variety of birds.
You too can be a songbird and flock to the pool,
And sing along with the Beach Boys — you know — “Be True to Your School.”
The Beach Boys will be the only men at this bash,
But if you insist; however, we can invite Johnny Cash.
A taco bar for the menu will fuel us in the sun,
I thought this would be better than sloppy joes on buns.
Have some refreshing sorbet and cool off for a bit,
You need not swim; by the pool you can just sit.
Plop your toes in the deep end, and dangle them from the ledge,
Have a cold beverage with a lime or lemon wedge.
We ladies at this gathering will be very carefree,
