SUMMARY:Coffee\, Cookies\, and Christmas: 2022 Mission & Outreach (Bring Your Items)
DESCRIPTION:This year our cookie baking for Aliveness Project will happen in conjunction with our Coffee\, Cookies and Christmas Collection event on December 10. You can bake cookies in your own home or join us live and in person at SpringHouse! If you are coming in person\, we’d like you to sign up just so we know how many people are coming to bake – click here to sign up! \nWe will begin the morning with a combination virtual/in-person coffee hour at 9 a.m.\, including coffee\, cookies and a craft activity for all ages. You can bring any items you have purchased for People Serving People at this time. Following the coffee hour\, we will be baking cookies. Bring your recipes and ingredients and join us in the kitchen (or in your own kitchen) for a day of baking! We hope you can join us\, virtually or in person\, for at least part of this fun day! \nFor Advent this year\, our FCC Mission and Outreach Team will be collecting items to donate to People Serving People. As you are aware\, this is an organization that provides shelter to families who are experiencing homelessness. \nWe are focusing on three different areas of need: Bedding\, Winter accessories and Christmas gifts. For the Bedding they need twin XL and queen sheet sets\, blankets and pillows. (Please note that the twin sheets need to be extra-long\, not the regular size.) For the Winter accessories\, they need hats\, gloves\, mittens and scarves for all ages. \nFor the Christmas gifts\, please purchase these items from their wish lists at Target and Amazon.
