Last Friday, devastating storms hit St. Louis and Kentucky. In St. Louis, both Centennial Christian Church and Union Avenue Christian Church sustained major damage, and at Centennial, a dear saint of the congregation, Pet Penelton, lost their life. She was not only a gifted leader in that congregation, but also in our National Convocation as well. She and her husband Harry were just 2 months away from celebrating their 58th wedding anniversary. In addition, the offices of the National Benevolent Association, which are housed at Union Ave, sustained major damage.

How can you help? You can make a gift to Week of Compassion and/or Disciples Church Extension Fund through Givelify or through your offering check, noting which organization you want the gift to go to. Also, lots of prayers for both congregations and for the Penelton family, and for our siblings in St. Louis and Kentucky.
