No doubt you’ve noticed signs as you enter SH for the bi-weekly food distribution run by LHENA (Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association). Groceries are distributed to anyone in need in the SpringHouse Gathering space from 10:30 am to 1 pm every 2nd and 4th Saturdays and every 3rd Wednesday. As a way of supporting our neighbors and FoodShare, SpringHouse is collecting non-perishable foods in the Food Bin located in the Gathering Space. FoodShare will collect these items when they are here to distribute food.
Items most needed include:
- Full-size paper grocery bags with handles
- Unopened non-perishable food (will take expired food within 2 years)
- Favorites: cereal, pasta, peanut butter, and canned meats
- Paper towels, toilet paper, unused, unopened toiletries
No razors, No frozen or refrigerated items, please.
