Beads On A String Author Will Open Our New Performance Series September 13

Dennis WarnerWe will launch our new Arts At First Performance Series with a concert by Beads On A String author and composer Dennis Warner.  Beads on One String started simply as an uptempo and fun song about how “We’re more alike than we are different”.  Then it became a beautifully illustrated children’s book by Alison Love Unzelman. Soon after, a curriculum was developed for elementary schools. (We present this book as part of every baby dedication at First Christian Church).

Performing in over 100 cities each year, Folk/Americana musician and entertainer Dennis Warner has established a well- deserved reputation for captivating audiences with his smooth vocals, distinguished songs, enthusiastic personality and stellar playing on both six and twelve string guitars. He has also found a niche as a popular guest speaker at various community gatherings throughout the United States and Canada. Warner’s ninth CD, Seeds, generated a lot of attention, being named one of the top CDs of 2012 in folk music based on radio play around the world. FOLK DJ also named him one of the top artists of 2012. Legendary Midnight Special radio host Rich Warren tipped his hat to Dennis by designating Seeds as his “CD Pick of the Week” on his nationally syndicated show.

The concert will begin at 12:45 pm in the South Sanctuary and it’s FREE- invite your friends and join us!!!
